
Huddleston, Va. – The Queens University of Charlotte triathlon team took forth on the men's side and third on the women's side at the Mid-Atlantic Triathlon Conference Championships in the Liberty University Triathlon meet. The race on Saturday, October 17, 2015, saw
Jessica Tomasek take the top spot for female collegiate athletes with a time of 2:16.40, as she grabbed the Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's champion title.
The women's team tied James Madison for third in the combined team scores following Navy and Marymount, respectively. The men's team would place behind Navy, Virginia Tech, and Marymount, respectively, for their fourth place finish.
Logan Cerwin was the second Queens' athlete to cross for the women with a 2:21.52 to claim fifth place overall.
Caroline Condon took eighth in the collegiate rankings with a time of 2:23.04.
Nicole Olivari was next to cross for Queens with a 2:46.21 and a 45
th place finish.
The men's team was led by
Elisha Smith who took fourth overall in the college placement with a 2:00.09 finish.
Graham Pimentel finished just behind for seventh place with a time of 2:02.16.
Dallas Handy finished the race with a 2:13.14 to claim 20
th as
Flynn Lancaster took a 2:18.14 time to claim 32
nd.
The women's team will compete in the Women's Collegiate Triathlon National Championship on November 7
th in Clermont, Fla. The men will not compete again until April 24 for the USA Triathlon Collegiate Club Championship.
