ELON, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's Tennis team traveled to test their strengths against the NCAA Division I Elon University Pheonix this morning. Both teams struggled during this road trip with the men losing 6-1 and the women falling 7-0.
The lone victory came from
Andre Bafume (Leme, Sao Paulo, Brazil, Ateneo) who battled his way to a three set victory over Dan Sablik (6-4, 5-7, 10-4). On the women's side,
Morgan Roberts (Fort Pierce, Fla., Treasure Coast) won the second set in her match 6-2 forcing a third against Viviana Stavreva at the third position. She then fell 10-5 in the tiebreaking set.
The men stand at 3-4 on the season following the match, and the women are currently 4-2.
The Royals return to action Wednesday as they come back home take on Pfeiffer at Freedom Park at 2 p.m.
