CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Robert Andrew Hodge (Hebron, Ky., Conner) led the Royals to a fifth place finish in the Conference Carolinas Men's Golf Championship Tournament. The Royals shot 903 for the three-round tournament, while Barton captured the title with an 885. Hodge tied for sixth by firing 220 (75-72-73) over the three days.
Behind Hodge in 14th was Craig Deberg (Edina, Minn., Edina) with a card total of 224. DeBerg shot 78 in the first round, 70, the team low, during round two and finished with a 76 in the final round.
Ryan Sevigny (Stittsville, Ontario, Sacred Heart) finished round out the top 20 in a tie for 19th. Sevigny shot 75, 78 and 74 for a 227.
Scott Kegerreis (Chambersburg, Pa., Chambersburg) and David Bainbridge (England, Thomas Alleynes) rounded out the Royals team in 33rd-t (79-79-75-233) and 35th-t (78-80-76-234).
Limestone's Kyle Scruggs won the individual title by shooting a 216.
Following the conclusion of the tournament, the Conference Carolinas All-Tournament Team was announced. Queens' Hodge was named to the team.
