In the first tournament of the fall season the Queens University of Charlotte men's golf team finished eighth out of 15 at the USC-Aiken Kiawah Island Invitational in Kiawah Island, S.C. Host institution USC-Aiken captured first place with a two-round total of 559, 17 under par. Queens shot 593 for 17 over par.
Robert Andrew Hodge (Hebron, Ky., Conner) led the Royals in his tie for 23. He shot 73 during round one and 74 in round two for a total of 147, 14 strokes off of first place finisher Chris Marsh of Coker College.
Just behind Hodges was Ryan Sevigny (Stittsville, Ontario, Sacred Heart)with 148 strokes, 75 and 73, in a four way tie for 29.
The Royals will travel to Morrow, Ga., to participate in the Clayton State Invitational on Sept. 29-30.
