Lander Takes Team Title at Queens Invitational

Royals finish 11th and 12th, respectively

BLUFFTON, S.C- The final round of the Queens Invitational, hosted by Queens University of Charlotte, at Pincecrest Golf Club saw another beautiful day for golf. At the end of play Lander University won the team title by eight strokes with a total of 581 for five over par.

In addition to the team title, Lander's Billy Belair brought home the individual title with a 139, under five. Earning the second place trophy was Will Wilcox after a scorecard playoff. Belmont Abbey's Chris Carvill earned third place, also from the scorecard playoff. Both Wilcox and Carvill shot 142 for two under.

Queens' two teams finished 11th and 12th, respectively.  Finishing 11th was the B squad and the A team finished 12th. Scott Kegerris led the both Royals teams with a 148 (74-74) for both days. Robert Blaker led the B team with a 150.
