Jeremy Price

Jeremy Price begins his eighth season as the head men's volleyball coach in 2025, and the second at the helm of the Royals as a Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) member.

In the program's first six seasons, Queens has received eight Off the Block All-Independent Team honors and 12 OTB Player of the Week honors.

2025

  • 13 athletes were named to the Academic All-MIVA Team
  • Had a five match win streak (Charleston (WV) x2, Belmont Abbey, Tusculum, and Barton)
  • Matched their win total from the 2024 season with nine in 13 games
  • Defeated Lees-McRae in straight sets 
  • Battled to five sets with perennial MIVA powers Ball State and Lewis.
  • Wilson Buchanan had a career high 40 assists against Loyola Chicago
  • Cayden Marin surpassed 1,500 career assists

2024

·      Earned first MIVA win in history over Quincy University on February 2, 2024 (3-2)

·      Had a four-match win streak (Lees-McRae, Mount Olive, Erskine, Belmont Abbey).

·      Secured their first win in history over an AVCA Top-20 ranked opponent, No. 20 Purdue Fort Wayne, in five sets (3-2).

·      Earned a bid to the MIVA Conference Tournament in their first year as the No. 8 seed.

·      Jack Brinkman secured the All-Time Kills Leader title (910 kills) in Queens program history.

·      Head Coach Jeremy Price tallied his 200th career win after the team’s win over Barton.

·      Daniel Leitao secured the Single-Season Assist Leader title (812 assists) in program history.

·      Tabbed 13 athletes to the Academic All-MIVA Team

2023

·      Ended the season above .500 for the third-consecutive season, which also included two winning streaks of 4+ games.

·      Matthew Pilch was named a First Team All-IVA honoree. Daniel Leitao and Jack Brinkman were named to Second-Team All-IVA.

·      Matthew Pilch was named Off the Block Player of the Week.

·      Jack Brinkman and Matthew Pilch (2x) were named IVA Offensive Player of the Week.

·      Guillermo Jordan was named the 2023 IVA Co-Defensive Player of the Year after a standout season averaging 2.21 digs per set and tallying a team-leading 199 total digs.

·      Had three players finish season with 200+ kills.

·      Guillermo Jordan concluded the regular season sixth in the nation in digs per set (2.72)

2022

·      Set a new program record winning 18 matches on the season.

·      Set a program record winning eight straight matches between Mar. 26 and Apr. 22.

·      Finished third overall in the 2022 IVA Championships held inside Curry Arena.

·      JP Payne and Daniel Leitao were both named to the All-Tournament team.

·      Jack Brinkman led the Royals with 410.5 points on the season. The junior played in all 30 matches for the Royals, including 28 starts. Brinkman recorded a team-best 354 kills and a .234 hitting percentage and a team-high 37 service aces. In two seasons with the Royals, Brinkman has amassed 458 career kills which is third most in program history. Additionally, Brinkman recorded 22 digs in the win at Barton which tied for the most digs in a four-set match across all NCAA DI matches.

·      Brandon Grabow set a new career program record notching 1,720 assists. The senior dished out a single game program record 70 assists in the loss at King on March 19. The performance was also the most assists in a five set match this season across all NCAA DI matches.

·      The Royals made history taking part in the first ever First Point Collegiate Challenge in Austin, Texas. The two-day event was the first NCAA men’s varsity volleyball match in the state of Texas. Queens went 1-1 on the tournament with a 3-0 loss to No. 1 Hawaii before defeating Fairleigh Dickinson, 3-1

2021

·      Queens' JP Payne was voted the 2021 Off The Block Independent Teams Player of the Year.

·      Had a runner-up finish in the IVA

2020

·      Hitter Tristan Santoyo was among the NCAA leaders with 3.67 kills per set.

·      Middle JP Payne ranked among the nation's Top 25 with a .365 hitting percentage.

2019

·      Queens finished the season ranked No. 6 among NCAA schools in team digs per set.

·      Had a runner-up finish in the IVA

2018

·      Queens' libero Conner Nagaki placed among the NCAA's Top 10 in digs per set.

·      Middle Aleksandar Perisic was among the nation's leaders in blocks per set.

·      As a team, the Royals placed among the NCAA's Top 5 in both digs per set and opponent hitting percentage.

Grand Canyon University

·      Price was the head men’s volleyball from 2010-2015.

·      Earned MIVA Coach of the Year honors in 2012.

·      Led GCU to a 17-15 record during the 2013 season, a record that stood as the best in program history until 2016.

·      Grabbed the Lopes’ first post-season victory in 2013, defeating Ohio State 3-2.

·      GCU led the MIVA in all-academic selections during both the 2014 and 2015 seasons.

·      The Lopes received the AVCA Academic Award in 2014 and 2015.

Juniata College

·      Price spent four seasons as the head men’s volleyball coach.

·      Finished in the top-four of the final AVCA Poll each year.

·      Led the Eagles to two Molten Division III National Championships in 2007 and 2009.

·      Helped Juniata to their highest finish in program history in the EIVA Regular season.

·      Coached 11 AVCA All-Americans, eight EIVA All-East players, and 19 EIVA Division III All-Stars across all four years.

·      Named AVCA NCAA Division III Men’s Volleyball Coach of the Year and EIVA Division III Coach of the Year in 2009.

United States Naval Academy

·      Price spent five years as the head men’s volleyball coach.

·      Led Navy to its highest finish ever at the 2000 NIRSA National Championships.

Other Coaching Experience

·      Goucher College – Head Coach, 2003-2005.

·      USA Volleyball Youth and Junior National Teams - Assistant, head and tryout coach, 2007-present.

Personal

Price received his bachelor’s degree in history and in government and politics from the University of Maryland. He then went on to receive his Master of Education with a focus in athletic administration from Goucher College.

In addition to coaching, Price has a vast amount of teaching experience in the classroom. From 2001-2006 he was a teacher and the athletic director at Grace Christian School, and this year he has been serving as the athletic director at Paradise Valley Christian Prep.
