Following a very successful opening month of competition, Hanna Nechay of the field hockey team has earned September InterCon Student-Athlete of the Month honors.
 
Nechay, a senior forward, helped the Royals go on a four-game winning streak en route posting a 5-3 record for the month. The Hebron, Maryland native totaled 10 points across the eight games on four goals and two assists to rank second on the team in points. She also earned South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf and Synapse DII Offensive Player of the Week honors after recording three goals and one assist in a week of play where Queens knocked off a then 10^th-ranked Limestone team. The win marked the first time the Royals had ever beaten a ranked opponent in program history.
