The ace of the pitching staff, junior Courtney Pearson earned InterCon Student-Athlete of the Month honors for the month of March after leading the Royals to a historic program win. Pearson’s complete-game shutout over No. 7 Carson-Newman marked the highest-ranked opponent a Queens softball team has ever beaten.
 
Pearson, who was named South Atlantic Conference Pitcher of the Week on March 19, finished the month of March with a 6-1 record while recording a dominant 1.55 ERA in 36.1 innings pitched. She picked up three wins against League opponents, notched one shutout and three complete games, and struck out 35 batters while walking only 24.
