Polina Lapshina has been named Novmeber female InterCon Student-Athlete of the Month.
Lapshina recorded seven first place finishes at the Sheraton/Le Meridien Fall Frenzy in November earning Bluegrass Mountain Conference Swimmer of the Week honors on November 20. The freshman swimmer from Ekaterinburg, Russia posted wins in the 50 and 100-yard freestyles, the 100-yard butterfly, the 100-yard backstroke, the 200 and 400-yard freestyle relay, and the 400-yard medley relay. Her times in the 100-yard freestyle, 100-yard butterfly, and 100-yuard backstroke were all NCAA ‘A’ Standard, and all of her times set new meet records in the pool.
The Royals are currently ranked third in the nation.
