Zarate arrives in the Queen City with more than a decade of coaching experience across collegiate and high-performing club programs. Her athletes have gone on to earn state titles, break team records, and compete at national-level meets.
Since joining the Royals, Zarate has leaned on her technical expertise, developmental focus, and leadership skills to strengthen Queens’ training environment and support the continued growth of the program.
A Colorado native, Zarate began her coaching career with SwimMAC Carolina in 2012 after completing her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Visual Arts from Emory University. She later earned her Master of Science in Sport and Recreation Management from Indiana State University.
