Aimee Haywood

Aimee Haywood is the fifth Queens head women's soccer coach in program history and comes to the Royals from Ohio Dominican University.

After joinging the Royals ahead of the summer in 2020, Haywood led Queens to a 7-2-1 overall record during their 2020 season played in the spring of 2021 due to COVID-19. The Royals completed league play at 5-1 and reached the SAC Championship final for the first time ever. Queens' Jada Palmer earned the SAC Elite 20 Award at the championship event.
 
A graduate of Ohio Dominican, Haywood has been at the helm of the Panthers' program since the Spring of 2016 Prior to that, she spent four seasons as an assistant coach with the program and another season as an assistant coach at Denison University. In that time, Haywood has coached two NCAA tournament teams and three conference championship teams while also earning nine conference tournament bids.
 
In four seasons at Ohio Dominican, Haywood has compiled a 44-25-10 overall record and a 33-13-6 conference record. In 2017, the Panthers set a program record for wins in a season with 16 victories and earned their first NCAA Championship win in program history. That same season, Haywood coached a D2CCA First Team All-American, three CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, three all-region recipients, and four all-conference honorees. In 2019, the Panthers returned to the conference championship final to finish second. Five members of the team were named to the all-conference team.
 
In addition to serving in her head coaching role at ODU, Haywood was the director of coaching with Sporting Columbus Soccer Club while also aiding as a sport management instructor at the university.
 
As a student-athlete at Ohio Dominican, Haywood was a two-time captain who earned a pair of all-conference awards, as well as academic honors. She was also a SAAC representative who served as SAAC President in her senior season. A goalkeeper, she graduated as the school record holder for most shutouts in a season, games played in a season and games played in a career as a goalkeeper.
 
Haywood graduated from ODU with a bachelor's degree in sport management. She also holds an MBA from ODU with a concentration in leadership.
