Matt Everett

Matt Everett joins the Queens Rugby family with a variety of experience as a coach, administrator, and player, most recently having spent three years as an assistant Men’s and Women’s coach at TC Williams High School in Alexandria, Virginia. He holds a Level 300 Coaching Certification from USA Rugby, and primarily works with the forwards.
 
As an athlete, he played for five years with the Washington Renegades in Washington, D.C., where the club routinely finished amongst the top 30 Division III clubs in the nation. Playing primarily as a loosehead prop, Everett spent time as a team leader, and held various administrative roles including member of the team’s Executive Board, and as Fundraising Chair. He also played one season of rugby for his alma mater, Hamilton College, including an appearance in the National Small College Rugby Organization’s Final Four.
 
Prior to taking up rugby, Everett was a four-time letterman for Hamilton's Football team, and a one year letterman in both Winter and Spring Track and Field.
 
He earned a BA in both Government and Communications from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY in 2008, and a MS in Communications from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN in 2016. Everett moved to Charlotte with his wife Lauren, and son Connor in 2019.
