MaKayla Lowe joins our Queens Rugby family from Athens Tennessee where she played for High School powerhouse McMinn County Tribe. There she won four state championships and was a two- time High School All American. After Graduation, MaKayla spent the summer training with Scion Rugby Academy a USA Rugby National Development Academy in Washington DC. MaKayla chose Life University to continue her education and rugby career. She was a multi position player for the Running Eagles playing both 7’s and 15’s. Life University reach the D1 Elite Finals all four years and she was elected a Collegiate All American Twice. She was also a member of the 2022 USA U23 National Champions South Harlequins. MaKayla graduated in December 2022 with her BA in Exercise Science from Life University. She is excited to share her knowledge of the game with the players at Queens as she makes the move from Tennessee to Charlotte with her boyfriend Trinity and their dog Sahara.
