Tyler Smith enters her first season with Queens women's basketball in 2018-19.
Smith joins the Royals after spending two seasons at Kansas Wesleyan University. While there, she helped lead the Coyotes to 35 total wins and back-to-back appearances in the KCAC Tournament. Smith was responsible for the development of post players, overseeing team academic success, scouting opponents and recruiting.

While at Kansas Wesleyan Smith was also head coach of the JV team for two years, posting a 28-10 overall record. She also organized numerous community service and alumni events while also working as a camp coach during the summer.

Prior to her time at KWU, Smith played four years of collegiate basketball at NCAA Division I institution UNC Asheville. She appeared in 76 games for the Bulldogs and was a part of a team in 2015-16 that won both the Big South Regular Season Championship and the Big South Tournament Championship.

"Queens is beautiful place and as soon as I stepped on campus I was impressed by the family atmosphere, thriving academic culture, and athletic success. I can't wait to get started."

Smith earned a Master of Business Administration from Kansas Wesleyan after graduating from UNC Asheville with a bachelor's degree in Business Management.
