Lacey has coached executives in healthcare, professional services, sales teams, information technology, financial services, higher education, project managers as well as small business CEO’s. Her partial client list includes NASCAR, Wachovia, State Farm, Hospice HealthCare, Carolina Healthcare Systems, Allen Tate Realtors, TPM Technology, Metso Power, Girls Scouts, Nike, WNBA, WBCA, Wake Forest, Rice, N.C State, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, Queens and Winthrop Universities, YogaOne, YogaFlex and The YMCA’s of Charlotte. She also works on a pro bono basis with non-profit organizations and with young people seeking to develop their leadership style.
She is also the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Queens University of Charlotte and she is the former Head Coach and General Manager of the WNBA Charlotte Sting. Her basketball coaching career spans more than 19 years and features work with some of the top programs and athletes in the world. In addition to her numerous years working in the WNBA as a coach, Lacey was a key contributor with USA Basketball working with the Gold Medal Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams at the 2000 Summer Olympics Games in Sydney, Australia.
As a collegiate athlete, she was named an All-American basketball player at North Carolina State University, had her jersey retired by the school in the year 2000, and was recently named to the ACC All-Legend Team.
Originally from Clifton Forge, Virginia, Ms. Lacey holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and a master’s degree in sports management from North Carolina State University. Lacey received her certified executive coach training from Coaches Training Institute, an international premier coach training institute, International Coaches Federation and U.S. Olympic Training Center.
Involved in the Charlotte community she serves on the Board of Directors for A Child’s Place, the National Kidney Foundation, the Johnston YMCA and Mothering across Continents, which addresses the HIV/AIDS pandemic in South Africa.
