Harris Boyes joined the Queens men’s volleyball coaching staff in 2025 as the program’s assistant coach, bringing with him a diverse background across NCAA Division I and III volleyball, along with extensive experience at the youth and club levels. Known for his holistic approach to athlete development and program building, Boyes has cultivated success everywhere he has coached — producing All-Americans, guiding nationally recognized teams, and establishing cultures rooted in trust, accountability, and growth.
Before arriving in Charlotte, Boyes served as the head men’s volleyball coach at Thomas More University, where he directed all aspects of the program, including recruiting, practice design, budget operations, and fundraising initiatives. His leadership helped elevate the program’s competitive profile while prioritizing student-athlete well-being and academic success.
Prior to Thomas More, Boyes guided both the men’s and women’s volleyball programs at the University of Mount Saint Vincent. During his tenure, he oversaw recruiting efforts, operational management, alumni relations, and program culture development, ensuring both teams were positioned for sustainable progress.
Boyes’ collegiate coaching background also includes two seasons at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he served as assistant men’s volleyball coach during the program’s early years at the Division I level. There, he contributed to scouting, match preparation, academic oversight, and day-to-day operations, helping establish foundational systems for long-term success.
Across his career, Boyes has coached athletes to six NCAA Division III All-American honors, one Division I All-American honor, a CVC Player of the Year recognition, and two CVC Setter of the Year awards. His résumé also includes postseason achievements such as conference championships, NCAA Tournament appearances, and top-ten national rankings at the high school level. In the club and youth circuit, he has led regional all-star teams and guided squads to podium finishes, including a third-place national result with the GEVA U15 boys team.
Boyes’ additional coaching stops include Villanova University, Kean University, Gwynedd Mercy University, CJVA, and Archbishop Wood High School, where he oversaw the launch of a new boys’ volleyball program that quickly became one of the top-ranked high school teams in Pennsylvania.
A native of Pennsylvania, Boyes earned his bachelor’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University with a leadership emphasis in sport management. He is a member of the AVCA and USA Volleyball.
