Coach Grob joins Queens Athletics from the Athletic Lab in Morrisville, NC where he spent 3 years competing for the Athletic Lab Track club. He holds his bachelors in Exercise Science from Saginaw Valley State University and his masters in Sports Management from the University of Central Missouri. Coach Grob is responsible for the throws, horizontal jumps, and pole vault.

In his first year at Queens he guided Martin Knauer to an All American finish at the division two national meet in the shot put with a throw of 18.18m. In the Conference the Queens throwers remained dominant scoring 56 points outdoors and 29 points indoors.  Both the men’s and women’s teams won the 2022 SAC Indoor Track & Field Titles. Martin Knauer continued to shine on the conference stage scoring in all four events and winning the hammer.  Knauer was also named SAC Men’s Field athlete of the year and the Royals won the SAC men’s outdoor SAC Track & Field Title.

Prior to Queens Coach Grob coached at various high schools and private athletes looking to elevate their marks to the next level. At the High School Level Coach Grob had 15 athletes earn 25 All State Honors in 5 years. Including Warrensburg High Schools first sprint relay All State honor in over 30 years. Coach Grob also guided 10 athletes to earn college scholarships for various programs across the nation.

As an athlete Coach Grob qualified for the USATF championships in the decathlon in 2018 where he finished 12th in the U.S. At SVSU, he was All-American five times in the heptathlon and decathlon and qualified for nationals in the pole vault one time. Coach set his school records in the Decathlon and Heptathlon at 7384 and 5344 respectively and holds the outdoor pole vault record at 5m.  Coach has finished over 30 decathlons with over half being 7000 points or better.
