Kristina Bond begins her first year with the Queens University of Charlotte swimming program as a Volunteer Assistant Coach in 2022-23. Bond was a member of the inaugural Queens women’s team in 2010-11, and one of the first women’s swimming captains during the 2011-12 season. 

During her collegiate swimming career at Queens, Bond was a CSCAA Scholar All-American, and selected to the Conference Carolina’s Presidential Honor Roll and BGMC All-Academic Team. Bond was a dual-sport athlete, also competing in throws events for the Queens Women’s Track & Field team, and is a former program record holder in Shot Put. Bond graduated from Queens in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. 

Bond has stayed heavily involved in the swimming community at the club level in Charlotte in the last decade as a member of Team Charlotte Swimming’s coaching staff, serving as TCS’s Head Age Group Coach from 2015-2017, and as Director of Operations & Associate Head Coach from 2017-2022. Bond currently continues to serve as Director of Operations at TCS. Bond is also Swimming Program Director & Varsity Head Coach at Providence Day School (2014-current). 

At the state and national club level, Bond has been a part of the NC IMX Camp Coaching Staff (2016-2022), NC/SC Open Water Select Camp Staff (2019-2022), NC Select Camp Staff (2021), NC/SC Carolina Crown Staff (2018, 2021, 2022), NC Zone Team Coaching Staff (2021) and selected by USA Swimming to serve on staff for USA Swimming's National Open Water Select Camp (2019) and USA Swimming’s Southern Zone Select Camp (2020).
