Julia Czentye joined the Queens swimming staff as an assistant swimming coach in the summer of 2017.
Czentye has worked for SwimMAC Carolina since 2012 as a division lead swim coach and a registration/placement/outreach coordinator. As a coach, she has led her age group to six NCS State and Sectional Championships in the past four years. In addition, members of Czentye's squad have won five individual state titles in multiple events, and her swimmers have placed in the top-16 consistently. Czentye was also instrumental in growing the program to its largest at the North site in the past three years as they increased membership to 376 swimmers from 305. Prior to joining SwimMAC Czentye was a swim coach for the Bolles School Sharks from 2007-2012.
"It is an honor to be part of the Queens staff and be able to work with such high-caliber athletes this upcoming year," said Czentye. My family couldn't be more thrilled to be part of the Royals family and we look forward to growing [professionally and personally] with Queens and its staff over the years."
As a student-athlete at West Virginia University Czentye competed on the swimming and diving team under Olympic Coach Sergio Lopez. During her time there she served as team captain and the programs SAAC representative for three seasons.
Czentye holds a bachelor's degree in communication studies from West Virginia. She and her husband, Alexander, have one daughter, Joanna.
