John Handrigan

John Handrigan is entering his second season at the helm of the men's and women's golf teams at Queens.

Handrigan joins the Royals staff after four years with the Coker Cobras men’s golf team. There, he oversaw all aspects of the College’s NCAA Division II Golf Program, was named the 2005 Carolina Virginia Athletics Conference Coach of the Year and the 2006 NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Coach of the Year. Prior to this position, Handrigan worked at Saint Francis University, his alma mater, as the assistant coach for the men’s golf team.

Handrigan received a bachelor’s of science degree from Saint Francis University in 2000. As an undergraduate student he was a member of the Red Flash men’s golf team for four years. His accomplishments while attending Saint Francis were many, including golfer of the year honors, breaking several school records and being named the 2000 Student Male Athlete of the Year. While serving as the assistant coach for the Red Flash men’s golf team, Handrigan attended Saint Francis University as a graduate student and in 2002 received his master’s degree in business administration.

Handrigan is a member of the Golf Coaches Association of America, an NCAA Registered Recruiter, member of the GCAA/Bridgestone Coaches Ranking/Selection Committee and a Carolina Virginia Athletic Conference Golf Representative.
