Andrew Knight joined the Queens baseball staff in September 2017 as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.<br />

Knight is a Charlotte native whose playing career began at Weddington High School where he was a catcher for the Warriors. Upon graduation, Knight committed to play for Catawba College. After a season with the Indians, he transferred to Brunswick CC to play two seasons before completing his collegiate career at University of North Carolina Wilmington where he also served as a student assistant for the baseball team.<br />

Prior to joining the Royals, Knight spent one season as Brunswick Community College in Brunswick County, N.C. For Queens, he will lead all recruiting efforts as well as working with the hitters and catchers on a daily basis. Knight was a part of a Dolphins team that posted 40 wins and finished 12th overall in the NJCAA in total runs scored and slugging percentage, while finishing inside the Top 10 in total hits, doubles, home runs and total bases.<br />

Knight received an Associate’s Degree in Arts from Brunswick and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from UNC Wilmington. He also earned a Master's Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University.<br />

He and his wife, Liz, reside in Charlotte where she is a teacher as Meyers Park Elementary School.
