THE SHORT STORY
In their third all-time meeting with Radford, the Queens University of Charlotte baseball team dropped a Tuesday night tilt against the Highlanders. The Royals bats were held in check all evening, only totaling two runs on six hits. Newcomer Dylan Schaefer led the charge with a 2-for-4 performance, including a double.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Radford wasted no time jumping on the Royals, manufacturing a run in the top of the first inning. Following a leadoff walk and a passed ball, Devin Parks stole third before an RBI ground out plated the first run of the game.
-After both offenses went down in the second and third innings, Radford strung together three runs on three hits. With a runner on second and one out, Luke Sullivan laced an RBI double down the left field line before Junho Son sent a two-run home run to right center to extend the Highlanders lead to 4-0.
-Queens answered back in the bottom half of the fourth inning, capitalizing on a one-out double from Bradley Brown. Newcomer Hunter Huneycutt stepped in and delivered a two-out RBI single to center field to cut into the deficit.
-The Highlanders would extend their lead over the next three frames, plating five runs on four hits and four walks.
-Radford tacked on a pair in the top of the ninth inning on a two-out single to right field from Devin Parks. Queens countered with a run in the bottom of the ninth innings, capitalizing on a Highlanders error before a strikeout sealed the game.
