CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte women's soccer (1-4-2) picked up its first victory of the 2025 campaign on Sunday afternoon, defeating Richmond (3-2-2) 2-1 at the Queens Sports Complex.

Turning Point
Queens struck first midway through the opening half when
Sejla Podzic played a ball into the box that
Juliana Hunter finished for her first goal of the season. Hunter then turned provider in the second half, assisting freshman
McKayla Budion, who muscled her way through her defender to score her first career goal in the 50th minute. Richmond cut the deficit to one in the 81st minute, but the Royals back line and goalkeeping tandem held strong to secure the victory.
