CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte field hockey team (0-6) faced the University of Vermont (5-2) this evening, falling 4-0 to the Catamounts at Bessant Field.
INSIDE THE MATCH
The Catamounts got on the board in the 7
th minute of play when Maddie Priestly sent a ball into the back of the cage from the middle of the striking circle. They then extended their lead in the second quarter, scoring a goal off a penalty corner.
Leading 2-0 coming out of the halftime break, the Catamounts found their third goal of the match on a penalty stroke. Vermont then put the game out of reach for good with an early fourth-quarter goal that gave the game its final score of 4-0.
