Elon set the tone early with goals in the 4th and 16th minutes, forcing Queens to play from behind. The Royals battled back to create six first-half shots, including efforts from freshman Helena Merkle and sophomore Juliana Hunter, but were unable to break through. A third Phoenix goal in the 60th minute sealed the outcome.
