THE SHORT STORY:
LOUISVILLE, KY. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team came up just short in a tightly contested ASUN matchup on Friday afternoon, falling 4-3 to Bellarmine on the road. The Royals rallied with three wins in singles, but the Knights' doubles point proved to be the difference.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bellarmine claimed the early lead by securing the doubles point with victories at No. 2 and No. 3. The top-court battle featuring Jan Montero Diaz and Win Steveker was left unfinished with the score tied 5-5.

- In singles play, Queens responded with strong performances across the top of the lineup.

- Laurenz Blickwede was dominant at No. 1, earning a 6-4, 6-4 straight-set win to get Queens on the board.

- Win Steveker followed with a hard-fought comeback at No. 2, taking a 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 victory.

- Filippo Scala added to the momentum with a gritty three-set win at No. 5, bouncing back to win 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.

- Bellarmine took the remaining three singles courts, including a tight 7-6, 6-3 decision over Luke Coppage at No. 6 to seal the match.
