DELAND, FLA. – The Royals battled through a tough road matchup on Sunday but came up short, falling 6-1 to Stetson in ASUN competition.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Stetson opened the match by securing the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3.
- The No. 1 doubles match, featuring
Win Steveker and
Jan Montero Diaz, went unfinished with Queens trailing 5-3.
- In singles action,
Win Steveker picked up an impressive 3-6, 7-5, 11-9 victory at the No. 2 spot, battling back after dropping the opening set.

Jan Montero Diaz played one of the day's closest matches at No. 3 but fell in straight sets, 7-5, 7-5.

Laurenz Blickwede and
Gavin Ryan both dropped straight-set matches at the top and middle of the lineup.

Filippo Scala and
Luke Coppage were each blanked in their respective matches at No. 5 and No. 6 singles.
