MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's golf team finished 10 over par for a sixth-place finish at the Surf Club Invitational hosted by App State.
Longwood took the team title at one under par while App State finished second at two over par.

- Peyton Savageau of Queens competed individually and tied for 42nd at six over par.
- Dean Richards picked up an eagle and nine birdies.
- Thomas Taylor-Cross also birdied nine holes.
- Herman Huus of App State took the individual title at five under par.

"Putting, putting, and putting. Overall, not the worst showing, especially with the tough conditions in high winds and some rain. Dean and Tom played really well finishing inside the top 10, but we played more than good enough to win this week. We just didn't take advantage of the opportunities we had. If you want to win golf tournaments, you have to make putts. If we can get just a little better with the putter, I think we can contend heading into the last half of the spring season."
