WORDS FROM DIRECTOR OF GOLF BLAKE CHILDERS
"The weather followed us down to Florida from North Carolina unfortunately. The guys fought hard on a tough day. Rainy, windy, and cold from the time we teed off, all the way until we finished in the dark. We were hanging tough in second place all day until the last five holes. We really lost our focus and everyone had a few sloppy holes to finish.
We were really disappointed in the cancellation of the final round. Only a few shots out of second place, we really were chomping at the bit to come out and get revenge on this golf course and move up the leaderboard. We felt like we could have played but it is what it is. I sense a hunger and a fire from the guys for the next opportunity. On to Surf Club in a couple of weeks."
