THE SHORT STORY:Â
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University men's tennis team put up a strong effort against James Madison on Sunday at the Howard Levine Tennis Center but ultimately fell 5-2 to the Dukes.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Royals secured two victories in singles play, with
Laurenz Blickwede and
Win Steveker earning wins. Blickwede battled through three sets to defeat Aurelien Schmitt 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 in the No. 1 singles spot. Steveker delivered a dominant performance at No. 2, cruising past Esteve Agusti 6-2, 6-1.
- Queens fought hard in doubles, but James Madison claimed the point after winning at No. 1 and No. 3, while the No. 2 match remained unfinished at 5-5.

Up next, the Royals will aim to bounce back as they travel to Macon, Georgia, to face Mercer on Thursday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m.
