THE SHORT STORY:Â
Charlotte, N.C. – The Queens men's tennis team continued its strong form, cruising to a 7-0 victory over Montreat at the Howard Levine Tennis Center. This dominant performance marks back-to-back wins for the Royals, following their triumph over UNC Greensboro in their previous match.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Queens dominated the doubles competition, securing all three matches in convincing fashion. Blickwede and Ryan teamed up for a 6-2 win at No. 1, while Coppage and Steveker earned a 6-3 victory at No. 2.
- Montero Diaz and Gosselin put the finishing touches on the sweep with a flawless 6-0 performance at No. 3.
- Queens controlled the match from start to finish, winning all six singles matches in straight sets.
Laurenz Blickwede led the way with a 6-0, 6-3 victory at No. 1, while
Win Steveker secured a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 2.

Jan Montero Diaz (No. 3) and
Gavin Ryan (No. 4) each dropped just one game en route to commanding 6-0, 6-1 victories.

Luke Coppage (No. 5) and
Lukas Gosselin (No. 6) rounded out the singles sweep with solid performances.
