ATHENS, Ohio. – The Queens University of Charlotte field hockey team (2-7) earned its second straight win this season, defeating Bellarmine University (2-9) 1-0 in a neutral-site game at Ohio University.

Sydney Smith scored a goal in the second minute of action this afternoon, putting the Royals ahead 1-0 early in the match. Queens' defense then held Bellarmine scoreless for the remaining minutes of the match to secure their second victory of the season.
