CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte field hockey team (2-11) hosted UC Davis in their annual Breast Cancer Awareness game this afternoon, falling 4-1 to the Aggies, who improved to 6-7 on the year.
INSIDE THE MATCH
The Aggies started the match aggressively on the offensive end of the field, recording nine total shots in the opening quarter. A shot from Beth Munro-Morris broke through in the 11
th minute of action to put UC Davis on top, 1-0. The visiting Aggies then added two more goals in the second quarter to take a 3-0 lead into the halftime break.
Following a scoreless third quarter, Queens'
Maddie Just put the Royals on the board early in the fourth, giving the game a 3-1 score. However, Karly Redman of the Aggies would sneak a ball into the cage from the backside late in the final period to give the match its final score, 4-1, in favor of UC Davis.

- Maddie Just scored her third goal of the season for Queens, while Hensley Miller recorded her fourth assist of the season.
- Just is now one of three Royals with three goals on the year.
- Madison Destefano finished with 17 saves to match her career high.
- Queens was outshot 22-4 as the Aggies put 22 shots on goal compared to the Royals' one.
- UC Davis earned five penalty corners to Queens' two.
