THE SHORT STORY:Â The Queens University men's tennis team (0-1) opened their season falling 7-0 to the defending American Athletic Conference champions, Charlotte (1-1), on Sunday afternoon at LifeTime Fitness.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- At the No. 1 spot,
Laurenz Blickwede and Jan Monero Diaz fell 1-6 to Charlotte's top duo of Matias Iturbe and Vasco Prata.
- The No. 2 pairing of
Win Steveker and
Jake Grimes battled but ultimately lost 2-6 to Ivan Dreycopp and Frederic.
- At No. 1 singles,
Laurenz Blickwede showed determination but was defeated 4-6, 1-6 by Vasco Prata.

Win Steveker, playing at No. 2, pushed Ivan Dreycopp but fell 2-6, 3-6.
