THE SHORT STORY
The Queens University women's basketball team fell to Lipscomb University, 87-73, in an Atlantic Sun Conference clash at Curry Arena. The Royals would put up a strong fourth-quarter surge, but Queens (6-11, 0-6 ASUN) could not overcome Lipscomb's (12-5, 5-1 ASUN) balanced offensive attack.
BY THE NUMBERS

Jordyn Weaver, leading the team with 19 points on an efficient 7-of-10 shooting from the field. Weaver was active on the boards, grabbing six rebounds, including four on the offensive end.
- Sophomore
Ana Barreto turned in a team high 36 minutes of action, scoring 17 points while shooting 8-of-17 from the floor.
- Off the bench, guard
Aylesha Wade delivered a strong performance, adding 11 points in just 19 minutes of play.

NOTABLE MOMENTS
The Royals had another strong sequence in the second quarter, narrowing the gap with a 5-0 run that cut Lipscomb's lead to 28-26.
Queens opened the fourth quarter with a 7-2 scoring run, cutting Lipscomb's lead from 74-60 to 76-67 with just over six minutes remaining.
Ana Barreto sparked the rally with a three-pointer, and
Jordyn Weaver added back-to-back layups. Lipscomb responded with an 8-0 run of their own, pushing the lead back to 84-67 and effectively putting the game out of reach.
