WORDS FROM COACH CHILDERS
"I am proud of the guys for finishing the way we did. From being in last the first two days to moving up to the middle of the pack. I didn't feel like anyone was focused and locked in. We were making mental mistakes which can easily happen with it being our first tournament since April. But today we were much sharper. I challenged the guys to play free, aggressive, and to play with no fear. They stepped up to the challenge and had a great day tying UNCG with the low team round of the tournament. Shoutout to
John Fahey as well for leading us today with a 65, tying the low round of the tournament with seven birdies and one eagle, and finishing in the top five for the second time in his career. I feel like we have a lot of positive vibes and momentum going into NC State's event next week."
