CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball Head coach
Jen Brown has announced the addition of standout guard Aylesha Wade on Tuesday afternoon. The senior transfer from UNC Charlotte joins the Royals after three years with the 49ers.
"Aylesha's ability to create for herself and others will elevate our offense," said Head coach Jen Brown. "She's an elite athlete with great court vision. I can't wait for her to showcase ability in a Royal uniform."
The York, South Carolina native was named 2021 5A South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association State Co-Player of the Year after leading to her team to a 5A State Championship. In her last year at Charlotte, she appeared in 20 games. Against Gardner-Webb, Wade put together a career day with 11 points, four rebounds and four steals.
"I am super excited to join the Queens family," said Wade. "Coach Brown and her staff are amazing people. I can't wait to learn and grow. I'm ready to work and take my game to new heights under their guidance.
