CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University Royals scored in the 35th minute of action on Thursday night but settled for a 1-1 draw with Austin Peay in an ASUN women's soccer contest. The Royals picked up a needed point as they look to secure the final spot in the conference tournament. With the result Queens moves to 5-9-3 on the year and 1-5-3 in the ASUN, while the Governors move to 6-5-5- overall and 4-2-3 in league play.

TURNING POINT
In a back-and-forth contest. It was the Royals who struck first on a goal from freshman Juliana Hunter. A crossed ball sent into the middle of the box from Chelsea DeVettori found Hunter who sent in her first career goal. The Queens defensive midfield and back line withstood multiple Austin Peay chances before allowing the equalizing goal in the 77th minute.
