Royals Held Scoreless in Loss to Bellarmine

LOUISVILLE, KY. –  Queen's women's soccer suffered a 4-0 defeat against ASUN opponent Bellarmine. In the midweek tilt, the Knights seized the momentum early scoring the first goal and never looking back the rest of the way.

TURNING POINT 
The Royals best chance of scoring came in the 8th minute of the match. Ansleigh Prell played a ball over the top that found the foot of Lucie Platt. Platt was unable to capitalize on the opportunity and sent the ball just right of the post. Bellarmine would go on to score three times in the first half before putting things away in the 78th minute with their fourth goal. 

KEY STATS & NOTES 

  • Kelsey Jargstorf made multiple stellar stops in goal for the Royals. Jargstorf finished with seven saves in 90 minutes of action. The Queens goalkeeper has now recorded 5 or more saves in nine matches this season. 

  • Bellarmine finished with 10 corner kick attempts, while Queens took none.
