Queens Men's Rugby Unveils 2023 Season Schedule

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte head men's rugby Coach Frank McKinney has released the Royals' 2023 regular season schedule. The 2023 campaign features four home and four away games. 

"Our 2023-2024 schedule will be the most challenging schedule in our 6-year history," said McKinney. "We will play the 2023 D1A National Champion, 2022 D1A National Champion, 2019 D1A National Champion, and multiple strong teams. We are excited about the challenge."

The Royals will start their season on Sep. 9 when they travel to West Virginia to face Wheeling University. The Royals will then host their first game of the season as they will face Belmont Abbey on Sep. 16. Queens will then face Navy in Annapolis, Maryland on Sep. 23 before back-to-back home games.

On Sep 30, the Royals will welcome Southern Virginia University at the Queens Sports Complex before hosting Army. Queens will travel to Marietta, Georgia to square off against Life University on Oct. 21. For the last road trip of the regular season, Queens will travel to Maryland to go against Mount St. Mary's on Oct. 28. The Royals will finish out the regular season at home against Mary Washington on Nov. 4.
