CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Queens softball was back on the road for a double-header with Presbyterian College. Desptie a strong effort on both sides, Queens would end up on the short side of both games, dropping the first one 3-0 before falling to the Blue Hose 5-3 in 5-3 in the second matchup.
In the first game of the double header,
Kasidi Staley and
Lindsey DeRoeck reached base safely with Queens' lone two hits of the game, as Presbyterian's strong pitching was able to keep the Royals at bay. On the mound,
Autumn Courtney earned her second loss of the season.
In the second game,
Ashlyn Mickler and
Kayla Smith brought home a couple runs that gave Queens a 2-1 lead in the third inning. Presbyterian fought back and re-claimed a lead in the bottom of the fifth inning, which they'd hold on to for the remainder of the game, earning a 5-3 win over Queens.
