CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte wrestling team will welcome Allen to Curry Arena for the first time this Sunday, Feb. 12 at 1 p.m. for Senior Day. It will be the first home meet for the Royals since December when they hosted Virginia.
SETTING THE SCENE
- Seniors Melvin Rubio and Jay Skalecki will be recognized ahead of the meet for their careers as Royals.
- Sunday will mark the 19th dual for the Royals as they are in search of their first win at home this season
- Melvin Rubio leads the Royals this season on the mat with an 11-10 record.
- Allen's record sits at 13-4 on the year ahead of their meets today with Newberry and South Carolina.
- The Royals' last win was at the NWCA National Duals. While there, they defeated Emory & Henry, Toledo, and The Apprentice School.
