CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte wrestling team hosted a tri-meet this afternoon for its home opener welcoming Bellarmine University and St. Andrews University to Curry Arena. The Royals defeated St. Andrews, 37-17, after falling 43-7 to Bellarmine.

KEY STATS AND NOTES

• Riley Kuhn won the lone match in the Bellarmine match defeating Kalob Johnstone by decision at the 197-pound weight class.
• Queens dominated the meet with the Knights winning seven matches.
• David Makupson, Greg Merriman, and Jamikael Lytle each picked up wins by fall while Connor Goodman and Vladimir Sukhikh each had tech wins.
