Royals Take Third at NWCA Multi-Division National Duals

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Queens University of Charlotte wrestling team traveled to Lexington, Kentucky to compete for the first time in the new year at the NWCA Multi-Division National Duals from Jan. 6-7. Queens would finish the two-day tournament in third in the NWCA men's division after coming into the meet seeded sixth.

Queens 42 - Toledo 19
Queens 12 - Bellarmine 35

How it Happened
  • The Royals began the weekend going 1-2 after picking up losses to Bellarmine and Apprentice before defeating Emory & Henry. Queens' win against Emory & Henry will go down as the first in the Royals' Division I Era.
  • Queens secured its third-place finish today after earning wins against Toledo and Apprentice. The Royals also collected a loss to Bellarmine this afternoon.
  • Head Coach Rob Tate returned to the sideline today for the Royals.
