McKenzie Notches Goal in Match at Georgetown

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte field hockey team (0-3) had its first road test of the season this afternoon facing Georgetown University (2-2) in the nation's capital. The Royals fell 9-1 to the Hoyas.

Turning Point
After the Hoyas got on the board first with a goal in the 11th minute of play, Queens's Cassie McKenzie would knot the game at 1-1 with an answer in the 15th on an assist from Isabel Buijse. However, Georgetown answered sneaking one more in the cage before the quarter ended to jump back in front, 2-1.
 
After extending their lead to two, 3-1, with one goal scored in the second quarter, the Hoyas really took control of the game in the third scoring four unanswered goals to give the game a 7-1 score. Georgetown then found two more goals in the final 15 minutes of action to give the match its final score.
