CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Queens University of Charlotte men's wrestling team (2-13; 1-7 SACC) defeated Lincoln Memorial in an exhibition match before losing to Emmanuel by tiebreaker criteria.
Graduate students
Jacob Balmas,
Noah Curreri and
Stephon Halliburton as well as seniors
Liam Kirkpatrick,
Jude Lloyd, and
Austin Watkins were celebrated before the match in the senior night ceremony.

Noah Curreri (184 lb) and
Josh Voelkel (285 lb) each won by fall to lead the way for Queens.
Griffen Gonzalez (133 lb) won by major decision while
Nico D'Amico (141 lb) and
Stephon Halliburton (174 lb) were victorious by decision.
The Royals won four of the five remaining matches by forfeit.
Emmanuel 21 Queens 21
Melvin Rubio (125 lb) launched the Royals to an early lead winning by major decision.
Nico D'Amico (141 lb) recaptured the lead later with a victory by major decision.
Following a trio of Emmanuel wins,
Stephon Halliburton (174 lb) broke the run with a key win by technical fall.
Noah Curreri responded with a win by decision before
Austin Watkins (197 lb) won by technical fall to put the Royals on top.
Queens lost the final match and Emmanuel was awarded the victory based on tiebreaker criteria.
The Royals will head to Bristol, Tenn. next for a tri-meet versus Bluefield and King.
