The Short Story: In her first game as a Royal, Jordyn Weaver posts a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds as Queens opens Division I campaign with a big win over Pfeiffer University.

BY THE NUMBERS
- Jordyn Weaver led Queens with 20 points and 10 rebounds, shooting 60% from the field while making eight of nine free throw attempts.
- Kasey Kidwell had a nice game on both sides of the ball, netting 14 points while grabbing eight steals and two rebounds.  
- Allie Johnson reached double-digit points with 10 while snagging six rebounds. 
- Amari Davis, Kennedy Fuller, and Sommer Joseph each managed five rebounds.

NOTABLE MOMENTS
- Jordyn Weaver opened the game with seven consecutive points, including an "and one" after sinking a layup while being fouled, and later making the free throw.
- Allie Johnson ended the first quarter on a high note, making a layup and grabbing a defensive rebound on the next possession before making a consecutive layup.
- Halfway through the second quarter, a layup by Sommer Joseph sparked a 10-point run to help grow the lead to 25.
- Yvonne Lee concluded the game with five consecutive points, capped off with a deep three-pointer from the elbow.

"Anytime you can start the season with a win is a plus. I'm proud of my team's overall effort today. We were able to show a preview of the brand of basketball we want play. We're a work in progress but the defensive intensity and #EarnEverything mentality is there. I thought Kid, Allie & Jordyn did a great job setting the tone. We will enjoy this one for 24 hours and then prepare for the next"
