The Short Story:Â The Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team saw seven Royals reach double figures as they stormed past the University of Lynchburg on Wednesday night. Sophomore Chris Ashby led all scorers with a career-high 22 points on a 7-for-12 shoot mark from behind the arc.
BY THE NUMBERS
-Chris Ashby had a career night scoring a game-high 22 points while dishing out a career-high five assists across 24 minutes of action.

AJ McKee reached double figures for the fifth straight game as the sophomore turned in a season-high 16 points on 4-of-7 shooting. The Charlotte native went a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line and grabbed five rebounds. The junior connected on 7-of-10 shooting from the field which tied his season-high.

Gavin Rains picked up his 17th career double-double, and third this season behind a 14 point and 12 rebound performance.

Kalib Mathews picked up first career start as a Royal and dominated scoring 14 points on a 55-percent shooting mark. The sophomore also grabbed three rebounds and dished out a pair of assists. Mathews also swiped five steals which tied for the second most in a single game.

Kenny Dye continued to facilitate the offense scoring 11 points, grabbing four rebounds, and dishing out six assists.
-Freshmen Elijah Wyche and Logan Threatt provided valuable minutes off the bench for the Royals as the duo combined for 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the field. Wyche grabbed four rebounds and dished out a pair of assists while Threatt picked up six assists and two rebounds.
-The Royals shot 55-percent from the field and 42-percent from behind the arc as they matched their season-high in field goal attempts with 68.
-Queens outrebounded Lynchburg 49-27 and capitalized with 16 second chance points.
NOTABLE MOMENTS
-Leading 33-23 with 6:03 remaining in the first half, Queens went on a 10-0 run to extend their lead before the halftime break.
-Queens held the Hornets to just eight points in the final five minutes of the first half.
-Leading 93-71, Queens closed the game on a 14-1 run as they secured the 107-72 win.

-The seven made three pointers from Chris Ashby tied for the second most in a single game in program history.
-The 24 assists by the Royals marked a season-high.
-The Royals improved to 222-63 inside the Levine Center.
