CONCORD, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte Royals women's golf team got through one round of golf this afternoon as darkness set in at the Charlotte Invitational at the Cabarrus Country Club. The Royals sit 12
th after scoring a 327 in today's opening round. Play was suspended due to darkness before the Royals could finish round two.
Xavier leads after getting both rounds in to score a 595 (301-294).

"We played the hard holes really well and competed, but couldn't take advantage of some of the getable holes," said Queens Head Women's Golf Coach
Ashley Fowler. "This is the longest course we have seen so far and it challenged us in the right ways. I'm very impressed with some of the shots I saw today! It's really just about cleaning up the little things here and there! Proud of the girls and we'll be back stronger tomorrow."
