COLUMBUS, Ga.- The Queens University of Charlotte women's soccer team dropped its second game at the Columbus State Invitational to Embry- Riddle on Sunday afternoon falling to the Eagles by a score of 4-0. Queens' record now sits at 1-1 (0-0 SAC) to start the year, while Embry-Riddle moves to 1-1 as well after collecting its first win of the year.

Grace Foyer scored the Eagles' first goal of the day in the eighth minute, assisted by Anita Agustsdottir. The Eagles then added to their lead just a few minutes later when Saba Amiri's first shot of the day found the back of the net for the Eagles in the 12th giving them a 2-0 lead that they would take to intermission.

In the second, Queens placed three shots on goal, all of which were turned away by Eagles keeper Oona Jokinen, before Embry-Riddle found another goal in the 77th to increase the margin to three. Another goal from the Eagles in the 84th then gave the game its final score of 4-0.Â
Both teams put 12 shots on goal this afternoon as Embry-Riddle put six on goal compared to the Royals' four.Â

Erica Turner took the loss in goal after totaling two save goals while Jokinen of Embry-Riddle recorded four stops.

Queens will be back in the Queen City on September 9 for its first home game of the season at Dickson Field. The match against UNC-Pembroke is set to begin at 6:00 p.m.
